The Universal Life Force
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a gentle yet powerful form of natural energy healing.
It connects us to the universal life force that flows through everything — the same energy that gives life to all living beings.
When you receive Reiki, you open yourself to this pure, intelligent energy.
It flows where it’s needed most, supporting balance, relaxation, and renewal on every level — body, mind, and spirit.
Reiki has its origins in Japan, where the word means Universal Life Energy.
Though practiced in the East for thousands of years, it was introduced to the West in the 1970s by Hawayo Takata, and has since brought comfort and healing to people worldwide.
How Reiki Works
Energy That Knows Where to Go
Reiki can be given through gentle, hands-on contact or from a distance.
During an in-person session, the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the body (you remain fully clothed).
This energy is self-directing — it intuitively flows to the areas that need healing, balance, or release.
Reiki can also be sent remotely, from mind to mind, across any space or situation. It travels beyond time and distance, always guided by the intention for the highest good.
What to Expect in a Reiki Session
A Deep Sense of Peace
Each person experiences Reiki differently.
Some feel warmth, coolness, or tingling. Others notice colours, images, or gentle waves of energy.
Many simply feel calm, supported, and deeply relaxed — as if wrapped in light.
No belief is required, and there’s no age limit — only a willingness to receive.
Reiki is safe, non-invasive, and works beautifully alongside any form of care.
A single session may bring relief and clarity.
For deeper or long-term imbalances, several sessions can help your body and mind gently unwind — like unravelling a ball of wool with patience and care.
“Each Reiki session is a pause — a moment for your body to remember its own harmony.“
