What Money Means to Me: Attracting the Energy of Abundance

With the time of year, and the tradition of gifting around Christmas, my thoughts naturally gravitate toward money and what it truly means to me. This season always invites a quiet inventory: how I give, how I receive, what I value, and how I support the wellbeing of those I love. In this soft winter pause, I find myself contemplating not just the act of exchanging gifts, but the energy behind them. And from that reflection, something deeper begins to rise.

What money means to me is changing as I get older, and in that change, I feel both a quiet grief and a gentle awakening.

For much of my youth, I did not chase money. I trusted life. I trusted the unseen currents of the universe to carry me, to provide for me, and somehow, it always did, just enough, just in time. I believed that love, intention and faith were more valuable than coins and contracts. In many ways, I was right. But I am also learning that survival, safety and wellbeing in this world require a form of grounding that cannot be wished into existence alone.

Now I understand that money is not simply a material object, it is energy in motion. It is an exchange, a current, a frequency. Like breath, like water, like sunlight, it must move to stay alive. And if it is energy, then it is also something that can be honoured, aligned with, and consciously invited.

Money, I am realising, is not ‘good’ or ‘bad’. It reflects the consciousness that holds it. It mirrors intention. In unconscious hands, it controls. In loving, aware hands, it becomes a tool for healing, for protection, for beauty, for rest, for opportunity, for time, and time itself is spiritual currency.

To attract the energy of money, I must first heal my relationship with it. I must speak to it as a living presence rather than an enemy or a god. I must invite it as an ally. I must allow it to find me without shame, fear, or apology.

This is an activating practice:

I begin by clearing old stories. The belief that I am not worthy. The belief that spirituality and wealth cannot walk together. The belief that wanting money makes me greedy.

I replace them with new truth:

Money is a supporter of my purpose. Money allows me to nourish my family. Money gives shape to my vision. Money flows toward aligned intention.

I practice gratitude for money that already exists in my life, even in its smallest forms. A few coins on the table. A bill that is paid. A warm home. Food on the plate. Each time I notice and give thanks, I send a signal to the universe: I am aware. I am ready. I am a safe channel for more.

I see money as light – a green-gold flow coming at me from all sides. It doesn’t trap me; it supports me. It grounds me and helps me grow what I’m here to create. I see myself accepting it with open hands and heart. Then, I’ll share it in meaningful ways: caring for those I love, investing in growth, and helping to heal the world.

Another activation is clarity.

The energy of money is attracted to purpose. When I am unsure, it hesitates. When I am aligned, it arrives. So I ask myself, gently but honestly: What is my offering to the world? Who do I serve? How does my healing become healing for others?

In answering these questions, my path becomes a magnet.

I no longer wait for the universe to guess what I need. I speak it. I write it. I embody it. I create space for it. I prepare for it. I respect it.

And slowly, something shifts.

Money shifts from being an outside force to a dialogue between my soul and the physical world. A sacred agreement. An energetic exchange between the unseen and the seen.

I am still contemplating what shape this will take. I am still learning how to align prosperity with prayer, business with blessing, creating with receiving. But what I know now is this:

I am allowed to be spiritual and supported. I am allowed to be intuitive and financially secure. I am allowed to desire and to receive.

And that knowing, that deep, embodied permission is the true beginning of wealth.

Each day, in little and special ways, I draw in the energy of money. I also believe it wants to connect with me too.

Thank you for reading, I wish you a prosperous exchange now and always!

  1. But they always say “money can’t buy happiness,” right? 🙄💸 Money doesn’t just buy the feeling of joy and creature comforts (warm house, bills paid etc.)… but it absolutely brings contentment, safety, time, and improve the quality of people’s lives.

I agree with your outlook on manifesting money. When your mind is healthy, calm, and truly aligned, money stops being scarce. Abundance isn’t “out there”; it’s a frequency you step into. Clear the blocks, heal the old stories, get your energy and your life in sacred order… and suddenly you’re magnetic to wealth. 🙌

Mind first. Peace first. Everything else flows. 🌙✨

    1. Totally! Thank you.
