The Balance of Day and Night: Celebrating the Equinox

In anticipation of tomorrow, when there is a moment of balance between day and night.

As winter’s quiet hush begins to fade,
The Spring Equinox whispers, a gentle parade.
A moment in time, balanced and still,
Where day and night dance with equal will.

The earth stirs softly, stretching with grace,
Awakening from the cold, a familiar embrace.
A breath of renewal, pure and wide,
The promise of growth, now at our side.

Thank you, winter, for your restful keep,
For the lessons taught in your quiet sleep.
Now, we rise with the light, so bright,
Welcoming the bloom, the warmth, the sight.

The equinox reminds us that growth rarely arrives all at once.
It unfolds gradually, just like the natural world around us.
We plant the seeds, and in their time, they rise,
Pushing through soil, reaching for the skies.
There is patience in every leaf, every bud that appears,
A gentle unfolding, free from haste or fears.

In this pause, in this sacred space,
We find our balance, our steady pace.
Grateful for the dark, we step into the light,
With open hearts, embracing the height.

Spring calls forth, with promises untold,
A season of wonder, as the world unfolds.
So, here we stand, between dark and dawn,
A new beginning, our spirits reborn.

We breathe deeply, knowing that transformation, too,
Happens in its own time, unfolding as we do.
With each small step, with every breath we take,
The world awakens, and so do we, awake, alive and kicking.

  1. That was a beautiful tribute to the equinox, Renate. It perfectly captures that “sacred pause” before everything starts to bloom.
It’s a great reminder that we don’t need to rush our own growth…. just like the seeds, we’ll get there in our own good time.
Thank you for sharing such a grounding and hopeful message!🌷♥️
